We're happy to report steady progress on our upcoming automated factory🌱 You are what you eat, and the same applies to buildings and materials. Except our factory is what it produces – structural timber-straw panels💪 Production is set to launch as early as Q3 2024.

@CrystalSoupComx That is our ultimate goal. While we do export our panels to Canada and the US, eliminating shipping and using local resources would deepen their positive climate impact. And that is why this factory serves as a blueprint, which we aim to replicate in other countries, in time.

This apartment building in Spain is undergoing a transformation, getting the bio-based treatment 🏡 Even with a concrete structure in place 🏗 the project will benefit greatly from using a straw wall solution. Architecture: Oken. Arquitectura amb sentits

@AndrewBrazier1 @leanahosea True, it can be tricky at times. We do a lot of research, testing and certification, fighting doubts with credibility.

@Ecococon @leanahosea Rental properties definitely. I've visited a similar eco home. Felt envious for the renter & that was before the high domestic energy prices. However mortgage lenders & majority of buyers tend to shy away from non standard construction.

Straw building is becoming ever more popular in France. The country is home to the world's oldest post-and-beam style straw house. And soon also to this newest, prefab one.🏡 New project on its way in Paulhac, France.

Let's kick off the year with another wonderful project. Switzerland seems to be a veritable treasure trove of dreamy winter homes, and this one doesn't disappoint.🏡 The house is made of straw panels, but no one would know unless told or shown the suspiciously low heating bills🔥

@vpezel It is fertile ground for straw construction in every sense of the word, and a perfect place for another factory. We have several projects in the US already, but the closer production is to building sites the better. It will take time, but we're getting there :-)

First steps are always the most difficult. Once completed, this agile production centre will serve as a blueprint for easy replication in all countries. As our CEO, Bjørn Kierulf, put it: "My vision will be accomplished when I can ride from one factory to the next on a bicycle."
