I had to cut this from my sermon like an hour before preaching and it bothered me. This is the kind of stuff that's so easy to miss, but is so enriching in the context of the Gospels. The Bible is amazing.

As a Black immigrant, be careful not to let yourself become the “face” used to push an agenda against your employer or government. I watched this BBC clip where there were over 12 kids in the room, but they only interviewed the one Black girl. Small detail, but in a country already tense about immigration, optics matter. Be aware.

@DrFuraha_Asani @nicolelampert Yeah, I get that part. My concern is with the fact that most of the kids always complain about the need to communicate with their friends and family using social media. What happened to the basic communication methods like texting and calling? 😀

@iSlimfit I got the reasoning for the ban. I just don’t think it’s on the responsibility of the government to do what quite frankly is a Parent’s job.

I’m all for banning social media for under-16s in the UK. But I think an exemption should have been made for YouTube. It’s unarguably the greatest free educational resource in the world. From coding and science to history, languages, and life skills, there’s an endless amount of high-quality content that teenagers can learn from. We should be careful not to throw the educational benefits out with the social media bathwater.

The thing about supporting evil is that evil doesn't respect anybody. When it wants to destroy, it destroys even the people who support it.
