@Emidiata16 The mandate can come handy before death is established. The stress to get an LOA is just too much.
English

If you're a bank account holder, you have an aged parent or you’re the next of kin, please read this.
When an account holder passes, the bank will restrict access to that account.
Before money can be withdrawn, the family has to go through court processes and bank documentations. That usually means getting letters of administration, paying fees and a long wait.
But then there's a simple way to avoid that stress.
As an account owner you can request a change of mandate on the account and add trusted signatories.
For example:
Signatory A (can sign alone): This remains the principal account owner.
Signatory B + C (must sign together): This could be two trusted children or beneficiaries.
In this setup, while the principal account owner is alive, they retain full control. If anything happens, the bank already has a valid instruction on how the account should be operated.
If you prefer to add just one person:
Signatory A + B (either to sign): This means either the account owner or the second signatory can operate the account.
This option requires a high level of trust. You are essentially giving that person full access alongside you.
The bank will only act based on the mandate on the account.
So it’s important that whoever is added is someone you trust.
This advice is just to put structures in place so your family can access funds without delay when it matters.

@TechnicalBben Find someone with a credible business idea and trustworthy too. Invest in their business & take equity. Funny how you may not even have to invest all 10 Million. The returns can be massive if properly structured.

@shelovesore @falafolosho Was telling my bro few days ago how I spent #700 for both movie ticket and pop corn.
English

@falafolosho There was a time it was 500, I remember my mum taking us that time
English

You guys should go to cinemas, those places are empty, people are not going to watch movies at the cinema anymore, and I don’t even blame them honestly.
1 movie ticket is about 15k, apart from popcorn
Let’s say you’re on a date and you’re paying for 2, that’s already 30k
Now include popcorn for two, that’s about 8-10k
Everything will be about 40k. All this excluding transportation
Imagine going to see a movie for almost 50k. Omo

@urchin_spine @IroegbuLucky As funny as your last statement is, it's actually correct.

He should squat with his colleague who lives closer to his work place, so transport can reduce then he can save better.
I think 50k feeding support is too much, he should do 30k instead, then since he is a regular payer of tithes, he should reach out to his pastor for rent support.
The response he gets should tell him if he should continue paying tithes.

I woke up thinking about my kid brother.
He is working with a salary of #250,000 monthly.
He is currently living with our parents and have come of age to rent his own apartment.
The reason why his thought came across my mind this morning was that he spent 5k daily on transportation to his place of work and he work 26 days a month.
He support the feeding of the house with 50k.
He is also a student with national open University of Nigeria.
As a Christian, he is firm believer of titheing which he removes 10% monthly from his salary.
His goal this year is to rent his own apartment preferably closer to his office and the cheapest room goes for 650k (self-contained)
What will be your advise(s) to him considering the economic situation in Nigeria and his monthly bills?

@MrOlibaba These days Microsoft Teams is the new Tinder for Bankers. 😅

Then at UBA a colleague in sales got married to a lady in operations.
No drama from HR. Nobody was asked to resign. Nobody lost their job.
The only decision management made was simple. The husband was transferred to another branch within the same city.
I respected that.
If you understand how banking works, especially in operations, people spend almost their entire day at work. It is the same faces, the same pressure, the same environment, every single day.
It is only natural that people will form real connections in that space.
So when marriage happens banks should not force one person to resign.
I have seen many women bankers in their early to mid-thirties who are not married. Not because they do not want to be, but because work takes most of their time and energy. There is little room to meet people outside that environment.
In many cases, they end up marrying customers or people they meet through work.
It is not easy to find love outside work.

@lekan_olayinka1 @fanJUNIsiab Stain is an understatement. He's a curse.

This man is a stain on us, both as a people and a nation. He is a stain on our identity and legacy.

Naira redesign.
Queues that stretched for days. ATMs that never had cash. Businesses that couldn't operate. Families that couldn't eat.
We endured all of that to get… the same notes with a slightly different design.
Why did we suffer exactly?
