In light of recent experiences. I will be enforcing new rules at events, and talking to all organisers to ensure that we are doing things to the same standard as other niche communities. (E.g. J-core/Aniraves).
Going forward, I will be rolling out zero-tolerence to any abusive, disrespectful behaviour from anyone in this scene. This applies to the performers too, inside and outside my company.
Staff, Producers, and other fellow performers in this scene are doing it for the love of the game at this point. Most people do not get a stipend either, so it's entirely for the love of the game at this point.
Of course context is sometimes important, but many of us, including me are doing this as volunteers, and we often don't see a single cent to our own name.
It's affected my mental health, and I have not been able to put my best foot forward at all.
It's disappointing, and nearly a decade into doing this stuff, I am disappointed that I have to act this way finally.
