I had a client today Wanted a volume bot integration I told them 10 sol First red flag was they thought it could be done in 2-3hours and 400$ is the most they could pay I settled for 600$ to build the volume bot as a favor for friend honestly After realizing the dev who built their original application was afk I realized this was going to be much longer that 2-3 hours of work They proceed to spend the next 8 hours complaining and attacking me for using ai tools like cursor or chat gpt to speed things up . Complaining just because I was asking them to run the tests locally and send me errors to debug Long story short I told them that I will not continue work being insulted and blamed for their delays The 299$ api I told them they needed to achieve functionality they argued that was “too expensive” WHAT A JOKE! Long story short I wasn’t going to refund them but I was threatened by my friend to be removed from groups I learned a valuable lesson, if someone doesn’t like what you’re building let them build it themselves
