Explaining The Phillies

I see a lot of people complaining about Marsh taking Crawford under his wing but to me that’s such a stupid complaint to have. It’s the natural order of things in baseball for players who were once young to try and help out the new guys. As someone who experienced difficulty in getting legit play time earlier in his career there probably isn’t another veteran outfielder on the Phillies better for that role. No matter how you feel about his production. And as far as production is concerned, Marsh was a 116 WRC+ hitter in 2025. You could do a lot worse in that regard
