Four days since club legend Mohamed Salah announced he will leave Liverpool this summer, Arne Slot has still not publicly addressed the matter, which is quite unusual. Former Manager Jurgen Klopp has addressed the situation before Arne Slot.
@Gandalf_LFC My good lord are you lot serious .... this club has had better players than mo .... I love the guy hes the best since Gerrard but to act like number 6 on liverpools all time list is disrespect is a fucking joke do better
@Nazteeee196 How is it? The club’s had loads of ex players film segments like this as part of the voting for Liverpool’s greatest. They’ve probably released Carragher’s top 10 now since he mentioned his top 6 on The Overlap yesterday.

[🟢] NEW: Xabi Alonso is expected to arrive in the summer. Michael Edwards has kept the line open ever since. Even during the successful 2024/25 season under Slot, who had taken over from Jürgen Klopp. Alonso’s agent, Iñaki Ibáñez recently confirmed concrete enquiries.

There must have been some within Liverpool's hierarchy and/or ownership desperate to see him leave this summer, because why else would they sacrifice £30m-£50m in a transfer fee?
'Respect for the player' does not seem a plausible explanation.
Salah was right.
Many people deserve credit for last season (Slot, players, staff — Klopp too).
Likewise many people deserve criticism for this season. But that's criticism, rather than hostility or derision.
Based on what I'm seeing, I can't make a case for Slot staying. But that doesn't mean he's to blame for everything. That would be stupid

🥇| @OliverKay: "Right now I’m struggling to imagine a Klopp-type resurgence for Liverpool under Slot. But whatever happens, he deserves their supporters’ respect and gratitude. His first year on Merseyside surpassed all expectations. It is not his fault the second feels like it has been cursed."
