$PLTR One of my favorite impact stats on the NHS FDP built on @PalantirTech: “297,943 patients have been safely discharged from hospital using the software, with around a 15% reduction in discharge delays for patients observed since trusts started using FDP — freeing up beds for those who need them most.”

$ABCL Carl Hansen addresses ABCL575 not advancing past phase 1: “I want to explicitly call out that ABCL575, the first program we brought to the clinic, is not aligned with the portfolio strategy outlined above. It was designed as a potential best-in-class OX40L antagonist, being developed in a large and competitive area, with low technical barriers to entry and two advanced competitor programs. ABCL575 was started in partnership with EQRx, and we obtained ownership opportunistically when EQRx was acquired by Revolution Medicines. … The phase 1 study of ABCL575 will be complete at the end of 2026, and I anticipate it will show ABCL575 is a great molecule that performs as designed. Unfortunately, recent data from Amgen and Sanofi have been disappointing and the future of this class in atopic dermatitis is questionable. I still believe OX40L has excellent potential for treating other autoimmune conditions, but partnering prospects for ABCL575 are substantially diminished from the original thesis. At present, we have no plans to pursue development past phase 1.” Basically the same points we heard from Booth on the call last week. Good riddance… This was a distraction. Now they can focus on the molecules that actually represent their strategy.

A relevant time to share this clip again: March ‘25 | UATX | @AbCelleraBio CEO Carl Hansen drops one of the most impactful statements I’ve come across: “What other people are telling you is valuable is not what you should pay attention to…. You really need to look inward and ask yourself ‘What are the the real examples, the pieces of data, the things that I can see and touch and feel that tell me I’m on the right track so that I have feedback’ because if you listen to others, not just on public markets but in your life, if you listen to others, you will be blown off course”. My response is that this overlooks the value of a highly differentiated platform that can repeatedly generate antibody drugs with significant commercial potential.
