@gurj_jaswal @IcyVert Like the NHL is honestly trying. A lot of ideas that people have have been tried out. I agree there's some mistakes being made but overall it's just that these guys don't try to make themselves celebrities.
If Bedard and Celebrini are #1 and #2 in the world, they will be though.
English

@FDaniels86 @IcyVert Bro, if the NFL can market their product to the point of selling out games across Western Europe & Brazil when less than 0.1% of the population has tossed a 🏈, the NHL can do similar, if they tried.
NHL marketing is insular. Other leagues mandate global fanbase development.
English

Do you all understand how truly fucking good this guy is

MACKLIN CELEBRINI NOW HOLDS THE SHARKS FRANCHISE RECORD FOR MOST POINTS IN A SEASON (115) 🦈
English

@gurj_jaswal @IcyVert they're trying bro its not as easy as you would think.
unless you've played a sport even a little, it's hard to appreciate what the pros can do
English

@IcyVert The NHL has the worst marketing of any sports league.
So most the population is still unaware of him.
The NHL should pump him to the general public like the NBA did with Jordan. But they’ll squander this marketing opportunity.

@heatdaddy69420 pros know how to fake a timely jammer. look out for zach wewrenchski and jake christianchin

@BurnerCam87805 @FDaniels86 Well if Francis Daniels says so
English

@CatsandCanes @calebherrera_ yep we'll see how they do. but you gotta admit that it's fine to think carolina's in "prove it" territory more than tampa bay is
English

@FDaniels86 @calebherrera_ The exact same team lost to the exact same "big dog" in the exact same amount of games last year, and no this version of the lightning havent won anything, since stamkos left they've routinely fallen short
English

"When their goaltending kind of came around, all of a sudden they didn't lose," Brind'Amour said. "They've got it all covered. You look at trying to find a weakness to attack, there just really isn't any. I think we have two real similar teams and play very similar ways."
That's from Rod earlier today
English

@FDaniels86 @WestRaleighGuy @calebherrera_ Rod never said such a thing and every serious coach is going to treat every opponent is tough so their team doesnt look past them
English

@FDaniels86 LOL ya a wall could put together a better list, pure acid trip list you should be embarrassed to have posted it
English

@CatsandCanes @calebherrera_ the same core has two cups already, i believe in their ability to get it done
English

@FDaniels86 @calebherrera_ #2 on your list has lost in the first round 3 years in a row and lost to the same "big dog" in the exact same amount of games as the canes, but somehow they are 2nd and the canes are 8th, you are clueless in your own logic.
English

@kfish3399 honestly fisch i think you're underestimating the team defense in ottawa. greater than the sum of it's parts. everyones bought in from forwards to defensemen and they have maybe the best team defense in hockey. we'll see apart from that, but a good defense can take you pretty far
English

@FDaniels86 Sabres have 4 strong D while Ottawa has Sanderson. Zub isn’t bad defensively but that’s it. Major culture and G issues. Do you believe in Ullmark after all the issues this year? Tkachuk always injured. Stuezle is a poor mans Marner, less points and just as fragile come playoffs
English

@gjyuhas @WestRaleighGuy @calebherrera_ ya im not from ottawa buddy lets talk shit about them together in it to win it
English

@nikohockeyfan @bigheadhcky people smoke crack and/or rip a ton of adderall before getting on to talk hockey
English

@FDaniels86 @bigheadhcky Why can't people agree to disagree?
English

tampa's got everything. special teams, an elite first line, an elite goalie, a great defensive unit. only real weakness, maybe their defense isn't that mobile but we've seen how that's not a killer problem deep in the playoffs.
vegas is a great, deep, experienced group with star power and controlled even-strength for most of the season. their main problem was goaltending. it looks like that's not much of a problem anymore.
i'm not buying carolina stock until i see them change the narrative. last year convinced me they're not cup contenders unless they can get over the hump.
English

@poman927 @calebherrera_ i dont think ottawa is an easy out at all. probably a harder matchup than philly/pittsburgh
English

@FDaniels86 @calebherrera_ They have an easy path to the conference finals, plus home ice throughout
English

@LFTSCCTomWilson @bigheadhcky it already changed, they've been unreal under torts
English

@FDaniels86 @bigheadhcky Right because their goaltending is terrible… why would that magically change in the playoffs?
English

@MasterMagalas97 @CousinxJ @FDaniels86 @bigheadhcky If Carolina got better goaltending they’d be above Colorado
English

@fastppburner11 @bigheadhcky ya fuck ill put em 2nd, i think they're winning it this year actually
English

@FDaniels86 @bigheadhcky Boston last is retardedly stupid
English

@cadeottonburner love swayman but even MVP hellebuyck wentfrom a 0.925 to a 0.866 when the playoffs started.
If you don't have a good group in front of you, it's fuckkked trying to win a series on your own as a goalie.
English

@FDaniels86 You’re gonna hate to get real familiar with Jeremy Swayman.
English

@JavonDiggs11322 don't doubt that - i think tampa is maybe the best team in hockey though. older group but getting raddysh, moser, james, goncalves, holmberg to all turn into good/great players this season makes this core feel refreshed.
English

@FDaniels86 If Montreal hadn't made the playofs last year and gaimed some experience, i'd lean that way. I think this is a tough match-up for an older(ish) Lightning team. I'd be shocked if the series doesn't go 6 or 7. 88 is still in goal for the Lightning, hard to bet against him.
