I agree there's some mistakes being made but overall it's just that these guys don't try to make themselves celebrities. If Bedard and Celebrini are #1 and #2 in the world, they will be though.

@kfish3399 honestly fisch i think you're underestimating the team defense in ottawa. greater than the sum of it's parts. everyones bought in from forwards to defensemen and they have maybe the best team defense in hockey. we'll see apart from that, but a good defense can take you pretty far

@FDaniels86 Sabres have 4 strong D while Ottawa has Sanderson. Zub isn’t bad defensively but that’s it. Major culture and G issues. Do you believe in Ullmark after all the issues this year? Tkachuk always injured. Stuezle is a poor mans Marner, less points and just as fragile come playoffs

tampa's got everything. special teams, an elite first line, an elite goalie, a great defensive unit. only real weakness, maybe their defense isn't that mobile but we've seen how that's not a killer problem deep in the playoffs. vegas is a great, deep, experienced group with star power and controlled even-strength for most of the season. their main problem was goaltending. it looks like that's not much of a problem anymore. i'm not buying carolina stock until i see them change the narrative. last year convinced me they're not cup contenders unless they can get over the hump.

@cadeottonburner love swayman but even MVP hellebuyck wentfrom a 0.925 to a 0.866 when the playoffs started. If you don't have a good group in front of you, it's fuckkked trying to win a series on your own as a goalie.

@JavonDiggs11322 don't doubt that - i think tampa is maybe the best team in hockey though. older group but getting raddysh, moser, james, goncalves, holmberg to all turn into good/great players this season makes this core feel refreshed.

@FDaniels86 If Montreal hadn't made the playofs last year and gaimed some experience, i'd lean that way. I think this is a tough match-up for an older(ish) Lightning team. I'd be shocked if the series doesn't go 6 or 7. 88 is still in goal for the Lightning, hard to bet against him.
