Serious question though. Arizona has a very good football team. And yes a great fan base for basketball. Why did the team not do better in attendance. Usually winning and good attendance go hand in hand.

@FFJeffB @MGardnerSports ASU is just as good of a school as UofA is now if not better. I thought you’d be smart enough to know that. If you’re from the Midwest, Cali, or back east would you want to go to an ASU game? Probably not. Checking out the Suns might still be cool.

@bobbyaz85 @MGardnerSports 100% correct. The 4th largest city in the country SHOULD be top 10 in attendance. So between the 4 MILLION more people who live in the metro area (not to mention the 120k diploma AS”U” hands out every year), that they only average 6k more per game is well, pathetic.

@FFJeffB @MGardnerSports Phoenix is a transplant city so there’s one reason for that. It’s also a cool city for a fan of another team to travel too, resale is good. The Suns have been top 10 in attendance the last few years and the Dbacks are avg 30k fans a game, not bad. A lot of competition.

@bobbyaz85 @MGardnerSports That’s also very true, both things are. Phoenix doesn’t GAF about sports, college or pro. It’s why over half of the crowd at ASU and pro games is fans from the opposition. There isn’t a worse sports city in the US worse than Phoenix, hence why it’s crazy to even compare the 2.

@MGardnerSports 43k/1M = 4.3% 49k/5M = 0.98% When the data is given even the smallest amount of thought, you’ll realize UofA’s home attendance was over 4x ASU’s. That’s pretty pathetic even by ASU standards. Yikes. 😬

@JoshNorris @ScottKacsmar Football basics: the center is rarely the first lineman off the ball so unless you can see the ball being snapped in any of these examples, it’s more likely the guard is just timing it perfectly. The whining has to stop.

I have a number of Facebook friends who routinely take pictures with their kids with some caption basically reading “Shout out to all parents out there actively engaged in their kid’s lives” I’m lost. Bringing a child into existence is the most important decision someone will ever make Isn’t it one’s responsibility to be there ?
