This video captured by Tristan Heth on the island of Tenerife, shows how stable air flows over a mountain range or simple convection can form waves in the clouds that resemble an ocean [source: buff.ly/3wLra2Q-, authors' IG: buff.ly/3kzaTZO] twitter.com/pickover/statu…

Who needs fancy holidays when you can frozen pizza in a garden full of weeds or wildflowers as we like to call them 😆

Good morning beekeepers! This morning we share our new cover photo. For this year's World Bee Day we held a photo competition for children. This collage shows all the highly commended entries including the winners of the competition. The result of this was very impressive.

What's the buzz? "Metarhizium is like a mold, not a mushroom. When spores land on a varroa mite, they germinate, drill into the mite, and proliferate, killing it from the inside out." sciencedaily.com/releases/2021/…

Forage of the day! Honeybees love the horse chestnut. When you see your bees bringing in a "brick red" pollen you know they're on the horse chestnut. The flowers are just about finished now but it's a good tree to know about for your bees, if there are any in the area.
