Ascended Heroes prices may actually NOT go down significantly or get a large correction like what normally happens with New Sets....let me explain. It seems likely Ascended Heroes will get a metric TON of reprints thrown at us from now and into the Summer (just like Prismatic last year) but that may not actually help bring down the prices of packs or sealed product...too much. All we have to do is just look at the sets surrounding Prismatic's release and now Ascended Heroes release. What set released 2 months after Prismatic Evolutions....Journey Together. What set released 2 months after Ascended Heroes.....Perfect Order. Journey Together is a set that is LIGHT YEARS better then Perfect Order and it's not even close. This helped take some attention away from Prismatic. Maybe not a ton of attention but definitely some and what happened another 2 months later...DESTINED RIVALS. One of the BEST Main set releases we have had, maybe since Evolving Skies, Destined Rivals. That's plenty for people to be distracted away from Prismatic and focus on some other newer shinier objects. Hence the DEEP price pullbacks in the summer with reprints and other new sets for people to shift focus too. (Black Bolt & White Flare released in July) But what NEW sets does Ascended have to take the distraction away from it...Perfect Order...and soon Chaos Rising....oh dear. Not only two VERY underwhelming sets, two of the SMALLEST sets we have seen in recent memory and actually...EVER. So not only can people collect what they want out of those sets relatively easy because they are so small. They do NOT compete whatsoever with Ascended Heroes INSANE lineup of hits. Do I think MAJOR reprints of Ascended is coming in the Summer just like Prismatic had last year, yes I really do. Do I think there is a chance that the reprints might not have as big of an impact like how it effected Prismatic's price...yes, its possible. If a draw down does come for Ascended in the Summer, I won't be waiting for a DEEP pullback or correction. I will average in and take it day by day.
