In this age and time, men are still “begged” to be present in the lives of their very healthy children but somehow your voices are the loudest because a couple decided not to bring an unhealthy child into this world.

Let’s do a practical test. Ask a Nigerian Christian who desires children if they know there are chances of having a disabled child as long as they desire being parents. First they will God forbid it. Secondly, they will demonize a disabled child and tell you nothing demonic can happen to them since “we are children of God and all perfect gifts come from God” Lastly, they’ll ask you why you should think it should be their portion to birth one. These are the set of Christians you think would treat a disabled child with empathy? How many Christians have openly told you they aborted a fetus according to the doctor’s advice? Or you think people don’t do it?

You hardly see these people in a discussion that has to do with ‘abuse’. They are only quick to come out to ‘defend God’s standard’ on subjects like this.

Do you know your spouse can become disabled at any point? However, I would not intentionally choose a disabled spouse. Happenstance and intentionally selecting a disabled person are two different scenarios.
