@IdongesitUduehe On this same app, we saw how a pastor married off an autistic boy to an old woman. The government had to step in to rescue the boy.
The same people will act like abortion is not better than trafficking and abuse.

@IdongesitUduehe “My own will be different”
Then they proceed to waste money and time subjecting the disabled child to all sort of spiritual cleansing, deliverance, healing, and a life time of trauma.

Let’s do a practical test.
Ask a Nigerian Christian who desires children if they know there are chances of having a disabled child as long as they desire being parents.
First they will God forbid it.
Secondly, they will demonize a disabled child and tell you nothing demonic can happen to them since “we are children of God and all perfect gifts come from God”
Lastly, they’ll ask you why you should think it should be their portion to birth one.
These are the set of Christians you think would treat a disabled child with empathy?
How many Christians have openly told you they aborted a fetus according to the doctor’s advice? Or you think people don’t do it?

Do you know your spouse can become disabled at any point?
However, I would not intentionally choose a disabled spouse.
Happenstance and intentionally selecting a disabled person are two different scenarios.

No girl is born dreaming of motherhood. That idea is taught. From dolls to toy strollers, girls are conditioned early for caregiving and reproduction, while boys aren’t. We’re taught this is our purpose, yet the risks of pregnancy and childbirth, even death, are rarely acknowledged. This isn’t instinct. It’s social conditioning.
