Guys… The Chicago Bears are a playoff team in Ben’s 1st season with a brand new system, staff and in Caleb’s 2nd year re-learning NFL football. They’re not even good yet. #DaBears

@clarencehilljr So covering a team for any amount of time wouldn’t lend itself towards you knowing more about that team than most, regardless if you grew up there or not?

Sportswriters, journalists, beatwriters are not fanboys of the teams they cover. Some get to cover teams they grew following, some don’t. The job is the same. Don’t be an imbecile.

“Ask not what your country can do for you, but what you can do for your country.” - John F. Kennedy We must once again recommit ourselves to one Nation under God, indivisible. Therefore, we must restore the military draft for our Nation’s young people. Each and every American, at eighteen years of age, must serve two years of military service. They could also choose to serve part of that time overseas or in country in a volunteer capacity. Being a citizen of the United States gives us unparalleled Freedoms and opportunities that are the envy of the world. However, these Freedoms that we cherish do not come without a cost. By protecting and preserving these Freedoms, young people, regardless of race, creed or religion will be united in service to their country and just as importantly, to each other. Many Nations around the world require their young citizens to serve their country. Until recently, our Nation did as well. This would serve many purposes in our society; We would have all of our young men and women put into a rigorous physical training course that they could use for the rest of their lives, we would always have a standing army ready at all times including for domestic problems like natural disasters. Unlike in today’s Universities, our young people will learn how truly great their country is and how unique and incredible are the Freedoms that this Nation bestows upon them. Service is a solemn reminder of the men and women before them who “paid the last full measure of devotion” so that we may enjoy these Freedoms. Also, very importantly, we would have in service every segment of our society represented so that our elected officials would be more hesitant and not cavalier about sending their own sons and daughters off to a faraway war unless it was truly in our Nation’s interests. This discussion and implementation must begin. To the young people of America, this is your country and your future. We will leave this great and Free Nation in your good hands for your children and for your children’s children. God Bless the United States of America! Love, Rob Schneider

The Venn diagram of people who have to tell you the college every pro athlete attended, tell you about their parlays and shame anybody who doesn’t know every NBA athlete in history is the same circle.
Rick Kamla@RickKamlaSports

If you do not know who George Gervin is, then you are a fraud as a “media personality”. Also, it strictly excludes you from opining on this subject BECAUSE YOU HAVE NO CONTEXT. Stick to fan-boying out on your Bears and leave the real sports talk to the pros.

@FatChops51 I’m sure you’re aware the R word is derogatory, so I’ll ask you to consider not to use it. And George Gervin is far from obscure. He won 3 straight scoring titles. Caleb Williams has 1 winning season. If you don’t know ball just say so. Internet is happy to educate.

@OnAirKarl I’m sure they’ll find common ground. Fans arguing about who did or didn’t know about an obscure nba player from the 70s is objectively retarded, though.

@FatChops51 Perhaps it is possible he didn’t feel a need to and Williams doing it could hurt current/future business for George. Just a thought. In which case he most likely does have a case to own the trade mark. Williams should settle it with him and make some George Gervin merch.

@FatChops51 @jga41agher My friend, next time you find yourself on the losing end of a very poorly constructed argument, just walk away. Absolutely no one will remember it or you ever again, starting 5 minutes later. Good luck.

@FatChops51 @jga41agher Anyone know how to get in touch with Vita Vea? Curious if he'd like to be known as "The Refrigerator" from now on, would rep him pro bono.

@DreamsOfTaos @jga41agher Me not knowing a basketball player from the 1970s has no bearing on the rest of my sports knowledge or understanding. You’re the guy who thinks it’s a flex to say the college every player went to.
