NEW: Trump official tells the Washington Post that a CNN producer gave “assurance” that Robert Kennedy Jr. won’t be on the debate stage.
The Washington Post article reads, “A Trump campaign official said a CNN producer had given assurances in a call Wednesday morning that ‘RFK [Jr.] will not be on the stage,’ after describing the criteria for the event.”
Just hours ago, Trump posted on Truth Social, “I don’t care if Junior joins the debate.”
Publicly, CNN has left the door open for Kennedy to potentially be a part of the debate, writing that it’s “not an impossibility” Kennedy could still qualify in time.
Does Trump not care if Kennedy is on the stage, or does he want to ensure he won’t be there? Will CNN make sure RFK Jr. won’t be on the debate stages no matter what, or will they let him debate if he qualifies?
