I’m insanely sarcastic and witty in my native language, but living in the U.S. and speaking another language has kinda killed that side of me.

A star drifts too close to a supermassive black hole. Tidal forces rip it apart, stretching its remains into a glowing debris stream that spirals into the accretion disk. Tidal forces ΔF ≈ (2GM_BH / r³) ⋅ (2R_star) overpower cohesion.

In vacuum, clean metal lattices don't "touch"; they entangle. Electron waves delocalize across the interface, minimizing surface free energy as atomic orbitals overlap seamlessly. Just cold welding: where ΔG → 0 and two become one.

Again?! I’ve never lost myself for anyone, and I never will. I come first! My self-respect is non-negotiable.

Schrödinger, 1926: iℏ ∂ψ/∂t = Ĥψ. Classical trajectories discarded for the time-evolution of the complex wavefunction ψ(x,t). Watch this 3D Gaussian packet propagate, disperse, and interfere; |ψ|² yields probability densities, phase encodes momentum.

Symmetry is not enough by itself. In electromagnetism, for example, if you write down all the symmetries we know, such as Lorentz invariance and gauge invariance, you don’t get a unique theory that predicts the magnetic moment of the electron. The only way to do that is to add the principle of renormalisability – which dictates a high degree of simplicity in the theory and excludes these additional terms that would have changed the magnetic moment of the electron from the value Schwinger calculated in 1948. -- Steven Weinberg, in an interview by Matthew Chalmers(2017) 📷 CERN Image

Philosophy Of Physics
Philosophy Of Physics@PhilosophyOfPhy·
“God used beautiful mathematics in creating the world, but the world may not care about beauty.” Paul Dirac was famous for trusting beauty as a guide in physics. He believed that the most fundamental laws of nature should be mathematically elegant, and this belief even led him to predict the existence of antimatter purely from the beauty of his equations. But this quote carries a deeper reflection. Dirac also understood that nature does not have to follow human ideas of beauty. What seems simple or elegant to us might not be how the universe actually works. In a way, he was reminding us to stay humble. Beauty can guide us, but it is not a guarantee of truth. The universe follows its own rules, whether they look beautiful to us or not.

Hamiltonian Monte Carlo: probability as physics. Endow particles with momentum, then let Hamilton’s equations (dq/dt = ∂H/∂p, dp/dt = −∂H/∂q) carve reversible, volume-preserving trajectories through phase space.

He travels to some of the poorest villages in Vietnam…places many people will never see. 🥹 And he doesn’t arrive empty-handed. In his arms are warm jackets for children who’ve never owned one… shoes for little feet used to walking barefoot… and small snacks that feel like a rare treat. But what he’s really bringing is something harder to carry… Comfort. Dignity. The feeling of being seen. Because sometimes, the smallest acts… mean everything. 🙏
