When you think the movie is over at first half, the second half is what brings in the excitement and thrill !
Fantastic story, screenplay and performances. Equal and strong portrayal of both protagonist and antagonist!!
Surprise / suspense held till the end is absolutely thrilling !!
#JojuGeorge and #BijuMenon both are terrific while Biju Menon as Antony Xavier corrupt cop impresses.

Sub-par throughout 😢
#Suhas didn’t feel apt for this role at all.
He failed to carry this light hearted role.. He excels in intense roles such as #ColorPhoto.
The love track with #Shivani didn’t strike a chord.
Comedy rarely evokes laughter. #VennelaKishore also couldn’t provide good comedy in this movie.

రాజేంద్రప్రసాద్ ఈగోని దెబ్బ తీసిన కృష్ణారెడ్డి
మాయలోడు’ సినిమా షూటింగ్ టైంలో హీరో రాజేంద్రప్రసాద్, డైరెక్టర్ ఎస్.వి.కృష్ణారెడ్డి మధ్య ఇగో వార్ చోటుచేసుకుంది .
ఎస్.వి.కృష్ణారెడ్డి తొలి సినిమా ‘కొబ్బరిబొండాం’. ఈ సినిమాకి కథ, స్క్రీన్ప్లే, సంగీతం అందించారాయన . అది సూపర్ హిట్ . ఆ తర్వాత దర్శకుడిగా మారి రాజేంద్రప్రసాద్ హీరోగా ‘రాజేంద్రుడు గజేంద్రుడు’ చిత్రాన్ని రూపొందించారు. ఈ సినిమా కూడా సూపర్హిట్ కావడంతో కృష్ణారెడ్డికి మంచి పేరు వచ్చిది. రాజేంద్రప్రసాద్తో మంచి రాపో కుదరడంతో మనీషా ఫిలింస్ బేనర్లో మూడో సినిమాగా ‘మాయలోడు’ స్టార్ట్ చేశారు కృష్ణారెడ్డి.
ఒక పాట మినహా షూటింగ్ పూర్తయింది. ఆ టైంలో " ఈ మూవీ కూడా సూపర్ హిట్ గారంటీ " అని కృష్ణారెడ్డి అంటే ... ‘కేవలం నీ డైరెక్షన్ వల్లే సినిమాలు హిట్ అవ్వడం లేదు.. నా వల్లే జనం మన సినిమాలు చూస్తున్నారు’ అని రాజేంద్రప్రసాద్ వాదించారు. ఈ ఆర్గ్యుమెంట్ పెద్దది కావడంతో బాలన్స్ ఉన్న పాట షూటింగ్ ఆగిపోయింది .
అప్పుడు ఎంఎస్ రెడ్డిగారు సర్దిచెప్పడంతో రాజేంద్రప్రసాద్కి ఫోన్ చేసి ‘సౌందర్య డేట్స్ ఇచ్చారు సర్.. బ్యాలెన్స్ ఉన్న ఒక పాట పూర్తి చేద్దాం’ అన్నారు కృష్ణారెడ్డి. " నేను చేయను , నేను లేకుండా సినిమా ఎలా పూర్తిచేసి రిలీజ్ చేస్తావో చూస్తా, ఇంకా నేను డబ్బింగ్ కూడా చెప్పాలి " అంటూ వెటకారంగా మాట్లాడారు రాజేంద్రప్రసాద్. ఒక్కరోజే టైం ఇస్తా ..అదీ ఒక్క కాల్షీట్ మాత్రమే అని తెగేసి చెప్పారు రాజేంద్రప్రసాద్.
దాంతో కృష్ణారెడ్డి 1200 అడుగుల డ్యూరేషన్ ఉన్న సినిమా మొత్తాన్ని ఒకే రీల్ గా చేసారు. డబ్బింగ్ చెప్తున్న రాజేంద్రప్రసాద్ గ్యాప్ లేకుండా వరుసగా సీన్స్ వస్తుంటే షాక్ అయ్యారు. అలా అనుకున్న టైం కంటే డబ్బింగ్ కంప్లీట్ అయింది. రాజేంద్రప్రసాద్ ఆశ్చర్యపోయి ‘అప్పుడే అయిపోయిందా.. అయినా ఇంకా ఒక పాట బ్యాలెన్స్ ఉంది కదా. అది నేను చేస్తేనే సినిమా రిలీజ్ అవుతుంది. సౌందర్య డేట్స్ ఇచ్చిందన్నావుగా. ఆవిడతోనే చేయించుకో. నేను చెయ్యను’ అని చెప్పి అక్కడి నుంచి వెళ్లిపోయారు .
అప్పటికే ప్లాన్ బి ఉంది కృష్ణారెడ్డి దగ్గర . బాబూమోహన్ , సౌందర్యలతో ఆ పాట తీసి రాజేంద్రప్రసాద్ కి గుణపాఠం చెప్పాలని ఆయన కోరిక. ముందు సౌందర్య ఒప్పుకోకపోయినా పట్టుబట్టిమరీ ఒప్పించాడు కృష్ణరెడ్డి . బాబూమోహన్ అయితే యెగిరి గంతేసాడు .
అన్నపూర్ణ స్టూడియోలో పాటను షూట్ చేస్తున్నప్పుడు రాజేంద్రప్రసాద్ తన మేనేజర్ ని లొకేషన్ కి పంపించి " ఆ పాట నేనే చేస్తా " అని చెప్పించారు . కానీ కృష్ణారెడ్డి ‘నేను ఆల్రెడీ బాబూమోహన్కి మాట ఇచ్చేశాను. అతనితోనే ఆ పాట పూర్తి చేస్తాను’ అని చెప్పారు. ఇంకోసారి తన మేనేజర్ ని మళ్ళీ పంపినా ఆయన ఒప్పుకోలేదు .
పాట చిత్రీకరణ మధ్యలో స్వయంగా రాజేంద్రప్రసాద్ సెట్కి వచ్చి కాసేపు ఆ షూటింగ్ చూసి కోపంగా వెళ్ళిపోయారు. తరవాత మాయలోడు’ సినిమా రిలీజ్ అయి బ్లాక్ బస్టర్ అయింది . బాబూమోహన్, సౌందర్యలపై చిత్రీకరించిన ‘చినుకు చినుకు అందెలతో..’ పాట స్పెషల్ అట్రాక్షన్ అయింది. అలా కమెడియన్ బాబు మోహన్ తో సాంగ్ చేసి హీరో రాజేంద్ర ప్రసాద్ కు కౌంటర్ ఇచ్చారు కృష్ణా రెడ్డి.
ఈ సినిమా తర్వాత రాజేంద్రప్రసాద్, కృష్ణారెడ్డిల మధ్య మాటలు లేవు. మళ్ళీ చాలాకాలం తర్వాత కృష్ణారెడ్డి దర్శకత్వంలో వచ్చిన ‘సరదా సరదాగా’ చిత్రంలో నటించారు రాజేంద్రప్రసాద్.
