@JennyCumbria @wrinklescrote @spiropyran Not true. Selling your own personal items is not taxable at all. If you are selling items with the intention to make a profit as a trade, then you have the £1000 trader's allowance. Once you go over that, it will be treated as income.

@wrinklescrote @spiropyran The rules changed yesterday I believe. Whether they’re your personal belongings or not, if you make over £1000 in a year you’ll need to pay tax on what you get from Vinted, eBay etc.

@FireBuzzard @drjanaway Similarly the PA temp contract job is horrible, and probably includes limited benefits like sick pay. That’s the nature of temp work - it’s only £90k if you actually get a years worth of work - which you probably won’t.

@thatsnotmine125 @drjanaway The advertised PA role is a clinical role seeing patients. That one is to assess people's benefit status & claims, lots reported it's a horrible job which is why they need such a high salary because of low interest. You wouldn't find a Junior Dr role that paid as much as the PA

Wouldn't be a fair representation of what's happening. They can (and should) personally post how they feel about it but there is no need for a political statement to the world

With complex issues, if you only cover a certain area, you ignore everything else. To ensure you cover everything fairly is a lengthy task, why should musicians have to do that?

@chrrypm @paramore They're a band not politicians. That's why politicians are hated so much because they are expected to give a statement to divisive world events which gets them in trouble. Paramore can have/share their views on issues but they're not your political representatives :)

@alyaaamerr @chrrypm Sure, whilst the facts reported for what's happening are terrible. There is more that political leaders are planning strategically. That's why we have experts on the news to give commentary. I have said there's nothing wrong with the band personally giving their opinions

they haven't been shy to speaking out against other issues going on in the world. they're completely capable of using their platform to spread awareness about the genocide of palestinians.

@chrrypm @paramore They're a band not politicians. That's why politicians are hated so much because they are expected to give a statement to divisive world events which gets them in trouble. Paramore can have/share their views on issues but they're not your political representatives :)

@chrrypm In the world of geopolitics, the issue is much bigger than what we hear on the media. Politicians have a strategy the public doesn't know. The band doesn't need to make a public political statement.

I don't expect the band to know every single detail of what's going on. And yeah, it is weird for bands to give an opinion of everything going on

@FireBuzzard @latinaladybird i mean, quinton, i do think they'd not be harmed by speaking up for palestine. my only point initially was it is weird to expect bands/celebs/actors/influencers to speak up politically. but it wouldn't be a bad thing if they did.

@latinaladybird @confettinoodles They're not political commentators, they're a band not your echo chamber. They aren't in physical danger for having an opinion but open to criticism because they don't know the full story. None of us know the full story, we're only being told what is reported.

Would you like to see Paramore be targeted for having an opinion where they might not know the fullest extent to what's going on? We don't know what's happening, we're only seeing in our media we can access.

@latinaladybird @confettinoodles You realize the war is a strategical geopolitical issue not just about civilians dying? We have politicians to deal with that. What you see in the media is only the surface of the massive political iceberg. No band is prepared to know enough to put out a political statement.
