Two Tembisa SAPS Officers Arrested Inside Boksburg Prison After 82 Mandrax Tablets and Dagga Are Found Hidden in Police Vehicle Two police officers attached to Tembisa SAPS were arrested for possession of drugs inside Boksburg Correctional Centre. The arrests followed a routine vehicle search conducted at the prison’s entrance, where officials uncovered illegal substances inside a police vehicle. At approximately 09:30, a Correctional Services official performing access control duties stopped a white SAPS vehicle entering the facility. The vehicle was occupied by two SAPS members, one dressed in full police uniform and the other in civilian clothing at the time of the search. During the inspection, the official discovered a blue plastic bag hidden underneath a seat in the vehicle. Inside the bag were 82 mandrax tablets and dagga. Following the discovery, both officers were immediately placed under arrest at the scene. The two suspects are expected to appear in court soon in connection with the possession of drugs. Authorities have not released further details at this stage as the matter proceeds through the legal process.
