@riedelmika @electoralreform I vote in Southern Ireland, and I place the people I do not want to win last on my list. If there are 18 candidates, I give that person number 18 in my list of preferences.

@electoralreform You still have tactical voting under PR. This happened in East Germany this year. In order to ensure there could be a coalition without the far right party, people had to go with the stronger contesters in their region so i.e. green and liberals lost votes.

@electoralreform IF you google similar research for the 1918 General Election, the Irish result would have been quite different using PR instead of First Past the Post, and maybe some of the issues being dealt with today with Ireland would not exist.

@allthestations YOu have to do the Glider, its a great innovation and hopefully Belfast will prove to other cities that there are alternatives to light-rail as they do get caught up with budget issues, planning issues and massive delays in construction
