@petermoreve @BigNGandBertie Houses in my area are north of $600K. Just a few miles over, >$1M. And that’s 30-40 yr old ranch style homes around 2000sqft. It’s insane really. PE had bought a lot of homes and renting them out for astronomical prices. Means folks are moving to less expensive areas.

I made spaghetti with mussels in a white wine, garlic, celery and basil sauce. Topped it off with a little parmesan cheese. It was surprisingly tasty.

went out to a restaurant last night ate a delicious meal for only €10 drank one of the most beautiful wines I've ever had in my life (just €5) at the end of the night, the waiter didn't beg for a 50% tip instead, the restaurant paid him a respectable living wage without having to rely on charity from the diners on my way home, I enjoyed a free ride on public transit instead of paying $3,000 a month for a leased car that costs an additional $750 a month in Gas just to operate The American mind cannot comprehend the beauty of living in Europe
