Dejean Bowens pleaded guilty to first degree animal cruelty for killing a black lab that was in his care at the Lazy Dog Crazy Dog boarding facility in Ballard Aug. 2025. Bowens kept the attack going even after the Black Lab, named Mitch, was whimpering and hiding from him. Bowens received the max sentence per Washington state law. RIP Mitch 💔😢.
