Même s’il est techniquement très compliqué que notre porte cargo s’ouvre en vol d’elle-même (et est d’ailleurs l’une des rares raisons demandant un arrêt décollage après 80kts) ne pas oublier que l’avion vole très bien même quand elle est ouverte

Rolling down the window for a breeze? August 21, 2021: an Aerosucre cargo B-737 had its main cargo door pop open in mid-flight over Colombia. Crew was able to return to Mitu airport safely. I have no follow-up on what caused it. My guess as a highly trained expert is that this incident occurred amidst the COVID craziness, and given it was operated by Aerosucre, the investigators didn´t bother much about it 😅

One thing is for sure, @Airbus has been busy sending their Test Aircraft fleet all over the globe. There is an A350-900 in Iqaluit, an A350-1000 in Singapore for the Airshow, an A320neo just returned back from Kazakhstan and now an A330neo going to Cameroon.

@Fahadnaimb Usually those get more publicity, it's a bit surprising it was so quietly handled. They also usually come out a bit later in the lifecycle. Side by side the difference is clear, just looking at one on the ramp I couldn't tell the difference

Did you spot this? Early A350s have one winglet style, but from MSN 216 (2018-ish) onward, Airbus switched to these taller, squarer ones. Newer = better aero, more range, less fuel burn. Kinda wild how they quietly upgraded it!
Part of the Perf Improvement Package.
Newer is superior aerodynamically, no question.
Be honest... do you even notice the difference or am I the only plane weirdo?
