The price is not the same for everyone. If you work in the music industry you need to get used to understanding this concept or grow to become bitter. It is also a tactic you'll need to employ yourself over time. Trying to get a quote for literally anything is a game. Having a large following on social media can be a curse at times. People expect me to pay 5x what other artists can afford to pay cos I have decent numbers on socials. On the flip side, sometimes if somebody doesn't want to take the gig, they won't say no, they'll quote something inflated in the hope you'll say no - but if you say yes.... Then they just landed a big pay day. Smoke & Mirrors game.
