There are a lot of people out there carrying a torch for Mimi Yanagi right now. I'm not. I hope they go back to jail and rot there forever. I've seen this pattern before. He (no, I'm not even going to bother pretending this isn't a biological male) is pity-baiting after being caught with such disturbingly explicit material that the police and courts got involved.
Idiots who have done zero research or looked at any of his content are now blindly defending him because 'MUH CENSORSHIP'. Meanwhile, various posts are already being made exposing some of the utterly depraved, viscerally revolting stuff this man was actually into.
I predict these will lead to revelations that they are, in fact, someone who likes children IRL and is using loli content as a deflection. We have seen this happen time and time again. It is time that people accepted that lolicons being into real children is as bad a problem as furries secretly being into the same thing.
I am sick and tired of the anime community pretending loli is wholesome and sweet when it is constantly used as a shield by predators to get away from criticism. What infuriates me is the blatant double standard on display, especially by the more right-leaning and libertarian anime fandom.
These people will casually say things like 'oh a trans person wants access to kids? Of course they're going to groom them!', but the MOMENT you imply that a lolicon who draws art of their character having sex with animals and sucking pacifiers might actually be into real children, that same fanbase becomes a howling mob outside your door screaming 'ARTISTIC FREEDOM' and 'DRAWINGS AREN'T REAL PEOPLE'.
I no longer have any clemency for these people.

Gonna be honest with you, I don’t have a great deal of sympathy for people who draw pictures of children being abused, in the same way I don’t think people should be allowed to generate AI porn of children. You can argue the harm is “notional” all you want. I simply don’t want people who have those desires to find any outlet for them, or indeed to feel safe skirting anywhere near the real thing.

Yeah, no, hard disagree. I investigated this person's twitter account before it went protected and it is straight up pedo-bait. While the person isn't an actual child (I fucking hope) she is 100% presenting herself in this way through their art and through her communications. Every post is written in third person specifically for the purpose of infantilizing herself, yet saying or positively responding to extremely suggestive and sexual things.
This isn't loli, this is a deliberate effort to cater to pedophiles in order to make money and it's fucking sick.
