Today feels like a good day to do this with WIP’s top 11 athletes list being done this week. It’s a Travis Konecny appreciation post. TK for some reason is not well liked among flyers fans. I see it everyday. Shit when he completed his worlds run with the second most points on the team half the comments on the posts were about him “sucking” the second half of the season. TK is a star and will be even better when the team gets better. He’s been the best player for this team for years but it feels like nobody wants him here. Probably over a contract which is actually very good. During a time when all anyone cares about is Michkov we need to show love to Philly’s most under appreciated athlete. All he does is show out for the orange and black and hopefully one day we can see him raise the cup as captain. Yeah Michkov will probably be a superstar but McDavid is showing us you need a TEAM to win the cup. And TK is apart of that.

What about letting bump/barkey fight for the last top 9 spot next year instead of trading someone to clear a spot? Because I’m sorry I don’t want to trade Foerster or Tippett lol. Then again they could trade Barkey or Bump then. I’d go Barkey if that’s what they do. Bump brings size and a shot to a team with little size and few shooters

@Fujipredator It definitely hurt them for sure, but they are one of the worst teams in the AHL over the 2nd half and the team defense disappeared. They bleed goals.

Just over 2 minutes into the 1st period the Phantoms are already down 2-0 against the WBS Penguins... 2nd half of the season collapse continues. There will have to be a full evaluation at season's end to understand why there was such a dramatic fall off. Team defense went away.

@DigennaroMike @Philabuster10 Yeah that’s pretty much where I’m at. If they’re lost or it was a recurring thing I’d pay more attention to it but other than that I really don’t care. And I think most fans don’t because they’re just casual fans who don’t dive deep into that stuff. They saw a win and are content

I can’t believe that all morning I’ve been defending why a 4th line shouldn’t get more minutes then any of the other three top lines, am I nuts, is there something I’m missing. Win or loss to me it just makes no sense #LetsGoFlyers

@Flyerspaul I can see arguments for both sides. I mean he has a NMC so that makes it not likely. I argue him being a veteran presence for the young guys and probably captain after coots is important. And he still leads team in scoring

@Fujipredator TK should be the one moved. And that’s not bc of anything bad from TK. He just makes the most sense to get a top asset at a more premium position and still have great winger depth
