Regis’ Maxim Fullerton delivered with some clutch hitting for the Kenosha Kingfish in the top of the 6th inning of this evening’s game. With the score tied 0-0, runners on 3rd and 1st, and two outs, Fullerton came to the plate and hit a 2 run double to right center field to give Kenosha the lead. The Kenosha Kingfish went on to beat the Battle Creek Battle Jacks 4-2 and improved their record to 3-0 on the season.

Regis took the 1st game of the 4 game series against Adams St with this afternoon’s 12-3 win over the Grizzlies. Regis scored the 1st 10 runs of the game thanks in large part to a 4 run 4th inning that was highlighted by Maxim Fullerton’s 3 RBI home run over the left field fence. For the game, Fullerton was 3 for 6 with 4 RBIs, 2 runs, and his 3 run HR. True freshman Ethan Wood got in on the long ball action as he hit 2 solo home runs, on his way to a 2 for 5 day with 3 RBIs and 3 runs. Regis also received significant contributions at the plate from: ⚾️ Garrett Rede, 5 for 6, 1 RBI, 3 Runs & a 2B; ⚾️ Adam Paniagua, 4 for 6, 2 RBIs, 2 Runs, & 2 2Bs; & ⚾️ Peter Goldy, 3 for 5, 1 RBI, & a 2B. Regis relied on a heavy dose of Maxim Fullerton to win this afternoon’s game against Adams St by a score of 14-5. With the win, the Rangers broke out the brooms as they swept the weekend’s 4 game series! 🧹🧹🧹🧹🧹🧹 ⚾️ Maxim Fullerton HIT FOR THE CYCLE, as he hit 2 singles, a double, a triple, and a home run on his way to a 5 for 6 performance at the plate with 5 RBIs and 2 runs! Also impressive is the fact that with the exception of one of the singles, Fullerton brought a run home with each of his hits. ⚾️ Par for the course, Adam Paniagua also had a great day at the plate as he went 4 for 6 with an RBI, 3 runs, and a double. ⚾️ CJ Difiglia also got a couple extra base hits in the game, hitting both a double and triple as he went 2 for 4 with 2 RBIs and 2 Runs. Another WALK OFF!!! CO Mines led Regis 7-5 going into the bottom of the 9th. Joey Cicini got the rally started with a solo Home Run, bringing Regis within 1. With 1 out, Vinnie LaGatta added another run with an RBI single, tying the game 7-7. Colten Chase then stepped up to the plate with bases loaded and two outs. Chase laced one right at the center fielder that was just too difficult to handle, allowing the winning run to cross home plate, and giving Regis the 1st round win over CO Mines 8-7. Regis secured the #3 seed in the RMAC Conference Tournament last night with an 18-13 win over Pueblo. Pueblo jumped out a 9-5 lead after the 1st inning, but Regis came back to take a 12-11 lead in the 4th. In the 8th, things got “interesting.” With bases loaded, Regis’ Austin Vaught hit a triple, and attempted to extend it to an inside the park HR. While he would have been out at the plate, the ump determined Pueblos’ Brady Prewitt did not give Vaught a path to the plate and called him safe. Regis’ Colten Chase had some choice words for Prewitt, and Pueblos’ Christian Castaneda came in from left field to support his teammate, resulting in both Chase and Castaneda being ejected from the game. Here’s the deal, Chase, Castaneda, & Prewitt are all studs. This game had a playoff atmosphere and there were tournament seeding implications on the line. If you are not passionate about the game like these guys, you shouldn’t be out there. Regardless, I guarantee you, after the game, series, and season, there is nothing but respect for the other amongst all of them. Take a look at the 8th inning play, as well as Joey Cicini’s HR in the 1st, and Maxim Fullerton’s double in the 2nd & HR in the 8th.
