When I took up office in 2020, 5,000 people registered as apprentices that year. New figures today show. we reached a record 8,714 apprentices registering - a 63% increase. We are meeting our craft targets & next year, we will roll out 17 new programmes in really exciting areas

We need to make it easier for people to access part time and online education. We need to support people who want to study but can’t do it full time. We need to break down those barriers - including cost. This is a big first step forward in that. Determined to drive this reform
