BREAKING:🚨Former South Carolina player Stephon Gilmore has announced his retirement from the NFL, per his Instagram. Gilmore, who graduated from South Pointe HS in Rock Hill, was in Columbia from 2009-2011. He was a Freshman All-American in ‘09, had a legendary career at South Carolina. 173 total tackles, 7 sacks, 8 INT’s, and one pick-six. He also helped return punts and kickoffs at USC. He was drafted at the 10th pick of the 1st round, to the Buffalo Bills. In his NFL career, he recorded 643 total tackles, 1 sack, 9 FF’s, 2 fumble recoveries, 34 INT’s, and 149 PD’s. Congrats on a heck of a career Stephon. You’ll always be known as a Gamecock and NFL great. 🐔🤙🏻
