We always Direct founders/ teams to “Talk to Users”
But what’s the playbook on this process? How do we coach a team that has a lot right going for it, but doesn’t know how to do this very important process.
I think about this a lot
What does “talk to users” mean?
Who are users?
-users of other apps like yours
-Skeptics and Degens
-Supporters and detractors
-General users of blockchain/financial apps
-Potential users (what bridges the gap from potential to actual - how can you bridge that gap and capture users before others?)
Where are they?
-If not “here”, how do we get em here
Why would they or would they not use?
How do you attract, appeal, retain, grow Userbase?
Like everything else- it may not be totally intuitive so it needs to be documented, needs to be coached, and strategies that work should be recorded and shared.

For the past ~ 2 months we have been working closely with the @monad team to design and launch a leadership initiative to support and catalyze growth across the globe in all verticals. We have identified and recruited a pilot cohort of ~30 leaders to participate, and have already been “in action” on a number of initiatives
But tomorrow we “Regroup” and get into it formally.
Mission Aligned.
Ethical Minded.
Monad Conviction.
A global network focused on local growth.
Not soon.

One of my new @monad_dev friends shared a really interesting and novel perps/ PM model this week and it’s super cool. Really different with potential extensive audience appeal.
The folks coming to @monad to be able to have super fast, cheap, performant EVM compatible chain are taking advantage of the expanded design space it offers.

Professional-Grade Order Books (CLOBs)
Before this update, Central Limit Order Books (CLOBs) struggled with the "Gas Wall." In a quadratic memory model, sorting a massive list of buy/sell orders in one transaction would cost exponentially more as the list grew.
-What it unlocks: High-frequency trading (HFT) engines that can process hundreds of limit orders in a single atomic transaction without hitting the "Out of Gas" error caused by memory spikes.
-Why it's better: Developers can now build "Web2-style" trading experiences (like dYdX or Hyperliquid) directly on a Layer 1 with predictable overhead.
With every passing day, Monad is solidifying its place in the current and future landscape of this industry.

And another huge unlock by Monad_NINE
Applications that require scanning large datasets—like Yield Aggregators calculating the best rates across 50 different pools or On-chain Risk Engines—previously had to do most of their "heavy lifting" off-chain and just post the result.
M9 unlocks Truly decentralized "Intents" and complex liquidations. A bot can now look at a massive array of user positions and execute liquidations for dozens of accounts in a single call.
There is also the "Introspection" Edge With MIP-4, these bots can check if they have enough "Reserve Balance" (the minimum MON required to stay solvent during asynchronous execution) before they waste gas on a complex calculation that would have been reverted anyway.

One of the things I was curious about when @category_xyz dropped Monad_NINE update was beyond what it is and how it makes @monad better, I was wondering “exactly HOW does it provide more design space for developers” The first item I came across couldn’t be more obvious considering the team ⬇️

This is an absolute game changer for the industry- this is the sort of model that will attract so many more founders from all parts of the business world, and retain them. This is professional- a word that has always been at my core thesis about what we need to do to continue to drive adoption. Monad team - they are professional.

MIP-8 (Page-ified Storage State) has been drafted by researchers at @category_xyz . This proposal makes storage page-aware. The EVM has 32-byte slots, but hardware works in 4 KB pages. Reading one slot pulls in a whole page; once that is done, the true cost to read any other slots from that page is very small. Under MIP-8, a 4096-byte (128 slot) page becomes the unit of access and commitment. Storage is grouped into pages, and each page is committed with a binary tree. Under MIP-8, gas is priced accordingly. The first touch to a page is expensive. Once loaded, all slots in that page are warm. This makes contiguous layouts (arrays, structs) naturally cheaper, without any disruption to sparse layouts (mappings). We believe that MIP-8 aligns gas costs more closely with true costs of state access. It incentivizes developers to choose storage patterns that utilize slots from the same page, and allows developers to build performant EVM apps that utilize state access efficiently.
