I was covering Kent State & the MAC as a student in 2008-2009. About a year ago I found the recorder I used to cover that season. The first piece of audio when I hit play was a Charlie press conference I sat in on, a true character of MAC hoops.

I was at the Palace in Auburn Hills a few hours later for Kent State vs. Pittsburgh, Pitt shot 67% if I remember correctly. 20 year anniversary of that 05-06 team this year led by MAC POY Dre Haynes, Youngblood, Warzynski, Gates, Scott, Mincy, Smith, Knight, Sullinger, great team

I may be a MAC nerd (ok I am) but having grown up with the league I can tell you about every schools broadcaster history & Bake truly is the voice of Miami, here’s hoping he’s back on the 🎙️ soon
