Today we had our last Spotlight Ceremony. During the month of May we focused on CITIZENSHIP. Congratulations to all of our students that received this award and our two staff members, Mrs. Ana and Mrs. Stauffer!

Our lovely librarian, Paige Wolf, got Read Across America off to a fabulous feline start!

Today was a busy fun filled day that we are very thankful for! We had our first ever Gordon-Reed Thanksgiving Day Parade, Writer's Celebrations, and Pringle Ringle! We hope all of our families have a wonderful Thanksgiving Break!

Our first play, A is for America was one you did not want to miss! Our students worked so hard and put on a great performance! We are so proud of them!

Voting has never been easier for us! Literally walked across the street, waited 10 minutes for our turn and voted 🤟🏾 Wish this was the case for all communities; especially after hearing about polling locations opening late, shutting down early and having long wait times 🤨

During the months of November and December each grade level chooses an organization to support to show gratitude. Our Character Trait of the month for December is Gratitude. Kindergarten is collecting socks! Check out the flyer to see how you can support them!

Superb! I had the absolute pleasure of conversing with @MikeRuyle regarding Culturally Responsive Teaching - he gets it! Too often we mold students into our school culture without paying deference to their family culture. It is of vital importance that we unite the two.
