5 years ago today, I launched the very first video (Top 20 GameCube Games for Under $20 in 2021) on GameCube Galaxy, thinking it’d be a fun personal project to make a high-quality channel covering one of my favorite consoles. For a first video on the channel, I had no idea it would reach so many people to a brand new channel at the time. In 5 years, I’ve seen an absolutely amazing community of people discover and support the channel, and even friendships formed from this hobby. It’s been really cool hearing people reminisce on memories of certain games, or discover games they never realized existed on the platform through the comments. So thank you, GCG Nation. @sir_top_and_hat Metroid Dread, without a doubt. Prime 4 was still a fun time, but lacking in various ways to make it a “great” game. Dread though is jaw-dropping from start to finish, very intense, and memorable.

Just got back from seeing The Super Mario Galaxy Movie, and it’s honestly a really fun time the whole movie. I’ve heard people say there’s “no plot”…I disagree. Also, no spoilers, but the character they revealed last week should’ve 1000% been kept secret for the movie.

@ElliottBros1 It’s definitely the lesser probability of the 3 I mentioned…but there’s no denying I’d still like a port of Star Fox Zero with traditional controls lol. But yeah, I do agree that they’ll probably reboot Star Fox in the way Bananza did for DK.

@GameCubeGalaxy Definitely not Zero. They won’t follow up his appearance in a (just predicting, but come on) billion dollar movie with a port of a just OK game. This has done nothing but convince me that Nintendo is hard rebooting Star Fox and the new game will have Bananza level of care.

With Star Fox in the new Mario movie, I think one of the following will happen: 1) Star Fox Adventures and/or Assault will release on NSO this year. 2) Star Fox Zero will get a Switch 2 edition with reworked controls. 3) A brand new Star Fox game has been in development and will be revealed this year.

@myretrolifeshow Man, the Virtual Console was revolutionary, especially on launch day for the console. I remember getting Bonk’s Adventure and Bomberman ‘93 at first cause I was really curious about the Turbografx 16 games never playing them before. Good times!
