@BullMilkDealer@Smileyyeg That’s why it took PP 6 weeks to respond.. his response wasn’t bad, the 6 weeks left a vaccum which turned the election to the liberals
@Gates317@Smileyyeg What in the fuck are you talking about, literally nobody advocated that. You made up a scenario in your head and decided to be scared of it
A majority of Canadians support the destruction of Canadian democracy.
I guess that is technically democratic, but it is also the end of representative democracy in Canada.
@Simon_Redhand@MarcNixon24 You think they are just randomly reaching out with bags of money? These crossers are indicating they are open to switching, otherwise you would have evidence of these so called bribes/ blackmail. I would have to imagine there is one conservative that would say no…
@JeffBrownEnreal This post and replies are exactly why conservatives will continue lose. If you have different approaches, share them, new ideas, share them… Crazy uncle shit, keep to yourself unless you have proof of something of substance…
I read a lot of things today blaming the Conservatives for the floor-crossings. I don't buy it. When you are dealing with the WEF mob (and all their bribing/blackmailing contractors), there is no politician in the world that can stand them down. Not in a system with as many holes in it as ours. The only ones that can deal with the problem are the Canadian people themselves. It's your country. It's going to be up to you. And soon.
Still blaming Carney and not your own party… this is the first time there has been this level of crossers.. why? We’ve had minority parties in the past that were close to a majority, both conservative and liberal.. why is this happening now? Perks and deals were always available… Carney is mostly a centrist, so it less of a leap to switch, vs staying with a dumpster fire under PP and Alberta separatists. Conservatives had the chance to pivot when the US started an economic war on Canada. They didn’t, because I significant amount of conservatives would rather be American than Canada.. that is hard to stomach if that’s your party and you are a true Canadian..
Mark Carney is undemocratically forming a majority government and people who don't understand how our country actually works are trying to defend it.
Let me make it clear how our country works and explain exactly how Mark Carney is robbing Canadian voters.
The only thing that will end is the current Conservative Party… conservatives voted these people in, not liberals.. I personally think the liberals should be more selective of who they allow to join.. These conservatives are sending messages indicating will their openness to switch. Thinking the liberals are targeting and offering bribes is a joke.. that would mean every one they approached flipped, otherwise there would be evidence of MPs turning down these so called bribes.. usually the most logical explanation is the correct one.. they want to be part of something to better Canada, and the current Conservative Party isn’t it
If 9 more MPs cross the floor to the Liberals, the old democratic system will effectively end in this country, both the left and right will become radicalized; even many Liberals will become disillusioned, separatist sentiments will rise, and many people will never vote again.
@globepolitics We all should. Loyalty is zero with these people. Why would the Liberals even want them? Why do we want people who would turn their backs on their friends, donors, and team members? Will they sell out Canada at the first opportunity?
Is it not accurate? It was chat gpt by the way.. I don’t see this as as bad as others.. if PP was prime minister and floor crosser made carney prime minister without an election, that would be a big deal, but carny is already prime minister… these votes don’t matter cause he has support from the other 2 parties..
CTV REPORTER: How many of your MPs do you have to lose to the Libs before reflecting on your political future as leader.
POILIEVRE: My leadership does not come from dirty backroom deals. It comes from the people of Canada.
Record-breaking 8.3 MILLION people voted Conservative & 87% backed Poilievre's leadership less than 90 days ago.
Of course not, there’s very few I trust.. I try to verify information that doesn’t come directly from the source.. let me ask conservatives, who on the conservative side should I listen to and trust? I’m only Liberal in this past election because of the choice. Next one, who knows. I don’t think I’ve voted for the same party twice in a row federally in a long time..
Sorry, busy, but see I missed a lot of rage tweeting… you mean like this below? Also I remember the conservatives celebrating her, calling her brave!
Leona Alleslev
🧾 What happened
•Elected as a Liberal MP in 2015
•Crossed the floor in 2018 to join the Conservatives
•Publicly said she disagreed with Liberal policies (economy, military, foreign policy)
⸻
🎁 Did she get perks?
Here’s the real answer—nothing official, but some clear advantages:
✔️ Immediate “perk” (unofficial but real)
•She was made a high-profile Conservative critic (shadow cabinet role)
👉 That’s a promotion in visibility and influence
✔️ Political positioning
•Became a key spokesperson for the Conservatives on foreign affairs/defence
•Got a lot of media attention—her move gave the Conservatives a narrative boost
Actually, I agree it’s to hold the leading party to account, but opposition doesn’t mean whining and spreading misinformation online, it’s about providing a different vision or approach.. that’s how you grow support.. They are spending all their time on X, Facebook, feeding the hate ecosystem.. That to me is a massive waste of tax dollars..
@Gates317@JinglaiHe Conservatives do their job they get paid to do as opposition. The problem is people like you who get hurt feelings & insult them when they hold the Liberals to account. Carney should start doing the job he wanted as PM & fixing the economy & the Liberal fuck ups from last 11 yrs.
Pierre Poilievre is one of the best Conservative leaders we've had, and the only one who can keep Conservatives united and defeat the Liberals in the next election.
Conservatives must stay united behind Pierre and not let the left and mainstream media demoralize and divide us.
@JJ_McCullough He should.. Liberals would blow out the conservatives and hopefully it will be a wake up call to clean house.. PP losing his riding and the general wasn’t enough.. it will be worse next time
The one thing I don’t understand, however, is why Carney wants to cobble together a razor-thin majority government through a bunch of Conservative floor-crossings instead of just calling a snap election he’d surely win.
People need to stop focusing on Pierre and turn their attention to the sleaziness of the Liberals and how they attempted to gain a majority. What did Carney offer, behind the scenes, to bring these people over? Marilyn G encouraged the truckers to continue their protest, she stood in Parliament and berated Carney for what he was doing to the country and she signed a petition that anyone contemplating crossing the floor must resign for a by-election. What kind of morals and integrity does this woman have to abandon her principles? She is classless. She was elected 4 times as a Conservative and suddenly has a vision that the Liberals are better. No way. She was bought somehow. What was she promised? What kind of party accepts an MP like her? The Liberals who will do anything to keep power. She may be happy there but in the next election, her constituents will boot her to the street.
@MarcNixon24 Breaks his silence? He says this 10 times a day without providing any evidence.. the actual evidence points to his incompetence and his supporters that keep propping him up with mis information and rhetoric.. sound familiar? Where else have we seen this style of politics ?
@JayGenXer More of it’s not me, it’s you! When it really is you.. it’s not trump, it’s the fact that it took the conservatives 6 weeks to respond to the constant attacks from the US.. Complete lack of leadership!
