Please email your MP. I have emailed mine this afternoon @sarahsackman. I will fight this tooth and nail and will not comply and I have told my MP. I will via @Togetherdec help mobilise and demand a right to not be forced on to technology. There is no mandate for this. It was not in @UKLabour manifesto.

I firmly oppose the government’s plans for compulsory digital ID cards. This is an affront to our civil liberties, and will make the lives of minorities even more difficult and dangerous. It is excessive state interference — and must be resisted.

I have a driving licence to prove that I have passed a test to drive. I have a passport to prove my identity and nationality when I travel abroad. I don't need to prove who I am to anyone in my own country unless I choose to. I refuse to have a compulsory digital ID card.

Every adult in Britain will require a new government-issued digital ID card, under plans to be set out by Keir Starmer tomorrow. This is absolutely appalling. Britain should never ever be a government controlled “show us your digital papers” society.
