I built my app because I was not happy with the apps that were already on the market. I wanted something that could link my every day task with my Uber goals and habits, and I also wanted analytics to make sure I know which habit is doing good, which is not etc. Hence I built this app. Since it’s a workflow, I’m comfortable with, it makes me much easier to use the app. One thing that has helped me most sticking to a daily discipline/routine (which is really difficult when you don’t have a corporate job).

@Geekvineeth @amix3k That's awesome! 👏🏽 how has using your own app to manage goals changed your habits? What would you miss the most if you would switch to a new app?

@iPritamX I didn’t know this. So, despite aso on keywords , unless I find a way to run ads that show up in eu/us markets, the app won’t be seen there ?

You just don’t know how difficult it actually is I’m building iOS apps from India, targeting the US & EU markets. The App Store gives you zero local boost because you’re not based there. No algorithmic love, no organic visibility. You’re already starting 90% behind before you even launch. Then you try to catch up with Apple Search Ads… RBI policies + Apple straight-up rejecting Indian cards make it almost impossible. Now you’re not just behind, you’re completely invisible while others race ahead. This is the brutal reality for Indian devs chasing global success.

I tried making a quick ad video (10-15 seconds) today using Google Gemini Pro for my productivity app (gitgudapps.com/auratracker), but it kept crashing, which got me really frustrated and I finally gave up. After thinking about it, I realized this is a common issue with AI tools. Many AI tools make it seem like using them is super fast and easy, with influencers even claiming they can quickly create amazing results with a specific tool. So, when the tool keeps failing, frustration builds up, and you’re more likely to give up quickly than if you’d started with a manual approach. One thing that might help is to separate “learning mode” from “shipping mode.” The problem is that when we try to do both at once (wanting to learn and ship in one go), it’s hard to separate them, and maybe frustration would be less if we did. In learning mode, you can spend hours experimenting with the AI, trying different prompts, and figuring out its quirks. That time isn’t wasted because the goal is to experiment—dedicate some time to this, and you can fine-tune your workflow until you find something that works. In shipping mode (which should only come after you’ve got a good workflow from the previous step), the goal is just to create something usable using the methods you’ve already fine-tuned and know work.

Its a highly opinionated all in one productivity system. If you want to change your life for the better, you can pick a goal, divide it into milestones, create system (habits) to stay on the path, track your health stats, create daily tasks, use pomodoro timers (in case you are the kind who struggles to start something) and even reflect and journal every day. It also gives you powerful insights and suggestions to help you recover and course correct if needed. Best part is its one time purchase (no cloud / account creation needed) and all your data stays on your device (no privacy issues).

@thesayannayak Building a globally dominant app requires lot of funding. Just check the new age AI companies on how much cash they are burning. Access to such large scale capital is still very difficult in India.

@Bhavani_00007 I joined the industry like 22 years ago, we used to read books. Every company used to have a mini library for us to borrow and read them. In one of the company I worked, we could even order books not available and/or reimbursed to a certain amount.

I've been using Rork Max now for about 2 weeks and here's how much it's costed. I took the $200 subscription which gave me 1,000 credits. Model used: Claude Opus 4.6 Apps fully built: 5 Apps 75% built (Playing around): 3 For $200 i'd say it's completely worth it.

India’s dev scene is full of > web developers > app developers but barely anyone says “I’m an iOS developer” Either iOS dev is still super niche here or everyone just follows where the users are.
