When at Western, he hosted a lunchtime talk for my department, UCC Programming where he enthused about Shakespeare and how his work was the mass entertainment of the day. I never forgot that or him. RIP Ninian.

R.I.P. to E.N. (Ninian) Mellamphy, who died last night, a few weeks after suffering a stroke (on his way out of the house, going for a walk with his wife Cécile). He was a great Dad, great friend, great prof, and (helping-out a colleague) the 1ˢᵗ translator of Gilbert Simondon.
