Weed is insanely safe—zero fatal overdoses, far less harmful than alcohol or tobacco. Science calls it the least dangerous common drug, with real medical benefits. Yet in 2026 it's still federally Schedule I due to politics and old lies. People still get wrecked over a plant safer than legal booze and cigs. Total hypocrisy—legalize it already.

Trump's December 2025 executive order on rescheduling marijuana to Schedule III is mostly hype—no final rule has been issued as of March 2026. It simply pushes the AG to "expeditiously" finish the Biden-era process (proposed in 2024, stalled in bureaucracy with thousands of comments and no hearings wrapped up). Marijuana stays Schedule I, with zero real changes for medical growers, patients, or the industry. Pure political theater.
