@strangerfren @MisterCavey There are pros and cons to each system. Either one will work, the key is effective feedback for the student.

@MisterCavey Everyone needs something to strive for. Simply lowering standards of measurement to match the lowering standards of average parenting these days isn't the way to go. This doesn't necessarily mean that a new metric wouldn't improve the grading function. Improvement is the goal.

By removing letter-grades and percentages from the picture, we're also getting rid of rank-and-sort. We're saying goodbye to trophy culture. Instead, we're saying that we are a learning community. We pursue proficiency together because we are all developing learners. #BCed
