Golf Rules Update

· If the player finds the first ball, he does NOT have the option to play that ball because the player announced on the tee, he was playing a “Breakfast Ball”. If the player does play the first ball, he would be considered to be playing a wrong ball. Refer to Rule 6.3c.

18.4a Playing a Breakfast Ball · After a tee shot is made off the first tee, a player may deem that ball no longer in play and “without Penalty” proceed to hit another tee shot. The player must deem the second ball as a “Breakfast Ball”, and he MUST abandon the first ball.

18.4 Breakfast Ball Purpose of Rule: A Breakfast Ball provides the option for a player to hit another tee shot off the first tee during a round.

Yes. You will unfortunately need to take a penalty stroke in this situation. Refer to the Golf Rules Updates to determine the actual penalty based on the current situation. Be Creative!

Rule 0.1 2/2 If you are faced with a situation where you will be required to take a penalty stroke due to a rule of any kind, you have the option to disregard the penalty as long as nobody saw you breach the rule. a. Did Anyone see the breach? No. Disregard Penalty Stroke
