Honoured to speak at the Ontario Small Urban Municipalities Conference and connect with local leaders. Small urban municipalities are vital in bridging rural and urban communities. Our government will keep working with them to build and protect their future.

Queen’s Park says goodbye to a well-respected colleague and true friend to all! After 36 years of outstanding service at the Legislative Assembly of Ontario, PSO Constable Michael Grant is retiring. Michael is widely respected for his professionalism, reliability, and positive spirit who proudly served part-time in the Queen’s York Rangers Regiment. He will be deeply missed. With gratitude, we wish Michael a well-deserved and fulfilling retirement. #QueensPark #Ontario

Had the absolute pleasure of meeting with @HabitatCanada to discuss how Minister @RobFlackEML and I can continue supporting their work delivering affordable homeownership for Ontario families. Through partnerships like this, we’re keeping the dream of homeownership alive.

After being cancelled in 2012, our government is bringing the Northlander back with testing for the first trainset officially underway. We’re reconnecting communities across Northern Ontario, including Muskoka, by investing in critical infrastructure that drives local growth.

We’re putting $1.1 billion back into the pockets of Ontario’s small businesses. More than 375,000 businesses will see real relief, with up to $5,000 in savings every year. It’s all part of #ONBudget2026 and our plan #ProtectOntario.

The Northlander is heading north for the first time in 14 years! If you’re travelling between Toronto and Timmins in the next few months, keep an eye out as all three trainsets undergo rigorous testing ahead of a return to service later this year.

Yesterday, I introduced the Building Homes and Improving Transportation Infrastructure Act at #QueensPark. This bill is another of many measures our government is taking to protect Ontario by cutting red tape, speeding up construction, and making it easier for people and goods to move across Ontario. These changes will:
- Help get more homes built faster and reduce costs
- Streamline approvals and remove barriers to construction
- Improve transit and reduce gridlock
- Give drivers more flexibility and expand transportation options
- Protect jobs and support economic growth We are getting shovels in the ground and delivering real results for the people of Ontario. #ONPoli #Housing #Transportation

What a momentous day! 🏡 Today, the provincial and federal governments signed the Canada–Ontario Partnership to Build, a giant step forward to get more homes built faster, expand transit, and support jobs across Ontario. This agreement includes $8.8 billion over 10 years to invest in housing-enabling infrastructure, helping to reduce development charges, lower the cost of building new homes, and get shovels in the ground. We’re also moving forward on key transit projects, including:
• Waterfront East Transit in Toronto • Expanded GO service across the Greater Golden Horseshoe region
• High-speed rail planning between Toronto and Quebec City
• Major GTHA projects like the Ontario Line and Eglinton Crosstown West Extension This is about building more, faster, and protecting Ontario by creating the conditions to stay competitive, create jobs, and grow strong communities despite global economic uncertainty. A big step toward making housing more affordable and keeping Ontario moving forward. #CANPoli #ONPoli #Housing

Today, Minister @PBethlenfalvy presented our government’s 2026 budget, A Plan to Protect Ontario, in the legislature. Under the leadership of Premier @fordnation, our government continues to deliver on its plan to Protect Ontario by building the most competitive, resilient and self-reliant economy in the G7. While other jurisdictions are cutting funding or raising taxes, our government is investing more in infrastructure, health care and education, and cutting taxes to create the conditions to make life more affordable and support jobs. #ONPoli #Housing #BudgetDay2026 #QueensPark
