Advancing our rural housing priorities across the province requires an all-hands-on-deck approach. Last week, I joined Minister @ToddJMcCarthy and MPP @johnjordan_lfk to tour Frontenac Municipal Service’s #Verona and #SherbetLake sites. A great day in Kingston! 🏡 Today, I stood alongside Mayor Bryan Paterson and MPP @johnjordan_lfk to reward the City of Kingston with a #BuildingFasterFund cheque of $3.2 million for breaking ground on over 1000 new homes and exceeding their 2025 annual housing targets by 26%. In 2025, #Milton broke ground on 2,699 new homes, exceeding its annual target by 28 percent. That is why this morning, I joined Mayor Gordon Krantz and Minister @zeeinmilton to present the town with an $8.4 million Building Faster Fund cheque to celebrate this milestone and help build more homes for Milton families. It was a pleasure to visit L’Arche London to celebrate their Ontario Trillium Foundation grant and see the incredible impact it’s having in our community. A big thank you to Mary Bee Haworth, Executive Director, and Mel Quevillon, Program Coordinator, for the tour and for sharing more about the amazing work happening through the DISH program. Today, I was pleased to join Premier @fordnation, Minister @gregorrobertson, @MayorOliviaChow and caucus and industry colleagues to announce that Toronto is receiving $1.5 billion through the Development Charge Reduction Program in recognition of its commitment to lower development charges and help get more homes built. This will provide over $80,000 in savings on the construction of a new single/semi-detached home. This investment is another way we are protecting Ontario by making it easier and more affordable to build homes. By reducing costs and increasing housing supply, we are helping more families, seniors, and individuals find a place to call home while building stronger communities across the province.

Last Friday, I joined MPP @WillBoumaBrant and Councillor Rose Sicoli to announce $4 million from the Building Faster Fund for the @CityofBrantford. The city exceeded its 2025 housing target by 61%, helping to deliver more homes for residents. This funding will support #Brantford as it continues to grow by investing in the infrastructure needed to build more homes and strengthen the community.   Thank you to Mayor Davis and your team for your leadership in advancing housing projects and delivering quality homes to meet the needs of Brantford families.

I had the opportunity to meet with the team at the Muslim Resource Centre for Social Support and Integration (MRCSSI) and learn more about the incredible work they are doing in our community. For more than 17 years, MRCSSI has been helping children, youth, individuals, and families navigate challenges, connect with supports, and access the services they need. Their focus on prevention, early intervention, and building trusted relationships is making a real difference in people’s lives.
