I grew up in a rat infested, trash-covered trailer to a drunken whore of a hoarding mother and a psychotic drug-addicted father.
My growth was permanently stunted from lack of nutrition, and I was considered dangerously underweight for most of my childhood.
I have never stolen.
I have never drunk alcohol.
I have never done drugs.
I have never randomly assaulted people.
I have never abused a loved one.
I have never randomly stabbed someone over verbal exchanges.
99.99% of the time, bad people are like that because they are just bad people to begin with.

"Stare at a wall" is so apt bc there is literally nothing for kids to do here anymore. Parks are for young children, so teens get chased out, everything is super expensive so you can't go on a day out, and there's precious little nature left to explore.
Thats all you can do.

I've been so poor that I couldn't afford diapers for my kid because my boss was a month late on paying me. I've been so poor that I've had to live in moldy apartments, rotting trailers, and even in the back seat of my car.
Never did drugs.
Never stole from anybody.
Never destroyed other people's property.

Never raped, tormented, or murdered anybody.

Great art must have a moral core. We aren’t as shallow as filmmakers might think. Pure spectacle may attract people to the box office, but the film certainly won’t have any staying power.
As it concerns the Gladiator films,
The first film is a story of vengeance of course, but it’s also rooted in duty, honor, and a love of family.
The second film is purely about vengeance, politics, and the protagonist’s identity. It’s far more shallow.
