GFD has deployed a Tactical Water Tender this morning as part of a Colorado Mutual Aid System (CMAS) request to the #AlexenderMountainFire in Larimer County. GFD remains at the ready to respond to fires with our jurisdiction. As a reminder the City of Greeley is under a burn ban.

We are sad to report the passing of retired Engineer Ken Brockett on 6/24/24. Ken (Bunker #47) served @GreeleyFire 7/1/1972-3/18/2008. He was hired for the opening of Station 3 & promoted to Engineer on 5/1/1979. #Professional #Compassionate #Service

UPDATE ON ENTRY LEVEL FIREFIGHTER EMT AND PARAMEDIC APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS. CPAT, EMT and Paramedic certifications will now be required at time of conditional offer not at time of application deadline. This should assist those who are pushing against the application deadline.

The National Weather Service has issued a Red Flag Warning for high winds and relative low humidity for the region from 10:00am to 9:00pm MDT Friday. Conditions will be favorable for rapid fire spread. Refrain from outdoor burning and any activity that may produce sparks.
