@JP4DBD I’ve only gone to basic non-horror conventions but sometimes there’s horror icons there. I’ve seen David Howard Thornton and Kane Hodder, and I’ve even met the truck from Pet Sematary, it was really chill. I’d love to go to a full on horror convention someday though

@GremlinsDBD Yeah, I love going to horror conventions. This year, for Texas Frightmare, Joe Dante was a guest, and it was very cool. I highly recommend looking up local conventions or ones you can drive to reasonably, it's a great way of connecting to others and make great memories

I’m genuinely a little concerned for Gremlins 3. I worry that without Joe Dante directing that it won’t hit the right tone. The tone of the first Gremlins is so specific, a black comedy that’s so off kilter compared to every other creature feature. 1/3

@GremlinsDBD I had a talk with Joe Dante at a horror convention recently, and he was a super sweet guy. I didn't ask about what he thought on Gremlins 3, I mostly focused on Small Soliders and The Burbs. So I kinda regret that

@GremlinYouTube I love the second one a lot, a middle finger to Warner brothers after demanding a sequel so they sabotaged the movie themselves and it was actually such a hilarious and unique movie

I suppose we’ll just have to wait, hopefully only a month or two before more news comes out about the movie. I’m just overthinking it and ranting. I don’t want them to mess up this franchise that I love.

The fact that I’m having trouble explaining it really is a testament to how special of a movie it is. Or I’m just stupid idk. You shouldn’t know whether to laugh or cry and we NEED that for G3. Also if Billy and Kate aren’t in it, the movie won’t be as special. 2/3
