New-gen chips aside. Whenever you talk about chips you have to mention Taiwan. TSMC (Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company) produces 92% of the most advanced chips in the world. They have a monopoly on what some people call this century's new oil.

My personal favourite new-gen chip is neuromorphic chips. They try to mimic the brain's function using transistors to make computing more powerful. These chips have allowed for breakthroughs in robotics and I see a huge application for them in self-driving cars.🚗🚙🏎️

I'm exploring the future of computing. I'm so fascinated by semiconductors and how reliant we are on them. These nano chips literally power everything and it's scary how much leverage they have over us. Follow this thread to see my learnings on the subject!

@GretherMurray V2G is booming in the UK with Toyota UK investing £50 million whilst partnering with SDG&E to release Toyota bZ4X, along with Fermata Energy's bidirectional charger and vehicle-to-grid platform. It has passed trial stages and will be released to mass market in millions by 2025

The UK is moving to 80% EVs by 2030, and the world needs an alternative to gas peaker plants: one plant emits 60 million tons of CO2 annually. Tesla, the biggest player in the EV space is now bringing V2G technologies to their new products (Cybertrucks).

I think that getting data for battery failure prediction is the bottleneck of the battery space. I will be working on a project that tries to make battery testing less expensive and faster.
