The Carson Beck pick to the Cardinals is the one that has me most conflicted of anyone taken in Round 3 this year. The talent is real and you can see why Arizona went for it but that UCL injury at the end of his Georgia career is not a footnote it is the entire conversation. His arm was already a legitimate concern before the injury and now you are asking a team that just took Jeremiyah Love at 3 to wait on a QB prospect who might need serious development time. Cardinals fans deserve to know what the timeline looks like here. #NFLDraft2026

Smart, low drama move by Pittsburgh bringing Lowry back in. The Steelers had a genuinely interesting draft weekend with the OT in Round 1 and Drew Allar as a developmental QB in Round 3, and now they add proven veteran depth on the defensive line right on top of it. Teams that win long term are the ones that quietly stack real depth without making it a headline and this is exactly that kind of move. Pittsburgh just knows how to build a football roster the right way.

Fernando Mendoza going number 1 overall to the Raiders is exactly the reset that franchise needed and honestly has not had since the Derek Carr era fell apart. The guy led Indiana to a national championship and won the Heisman playing in the Big Ten, which is not a weak conference anymore. Tom Brady's ownership group now has their franchise QB, the rebuild has a face, and there are genuinely no more excuses for Las Vegas. You can debate the supporting cast all day long but Mendoza entering the building changes everything about the trajectory of that franchise. #NFLDraft2026

I realize his off-field has caused some concerns, but Diego Pavia deserved better than a minicamp tryout with the Ravens. He did lead the Vanderbilt Commodores to a 6-2 SEC record, did beat Bama the season before, did scare Texas twice.

the Jets taking David Bailey at 2 is the most Jets thing that has happened in years and I mean that as a compliment. 14.5 sacks last season to tie for the FBS lead. 29 career sacks total. now he lines up opposite Will McDonald and the entire AFC East has a serious problem.

@TomPelissero Luke Altmyer was a three year starter at Illinois in a system built on NFL concepts and lands with the Lions behind Jared Goff. that is one of the best spots a UDFA QB could ask for. Detroit develops talent and if the roster thins at camp Altmyer gets a real shot.

the Bills entered the draft at pick 26 and traded back three times to exit the first round entirely. Brandon Beane decided no one on that board was worth a first round grade so he turned one pick into a pile of capital. their first selection was T.J. Parker at 35 and they are betting on volume over name.

Diego Pavia finishes second in the Heisman and goes undrafted. that is one of the wildest storylines of this entire draft class. but the Baltimore call is actually everything for him. the Ravens build their offense around quarterbacks who can create outside of structure. this is not a pity invite. this is a real shot.

the Cardinals taking Jeremiyah Love at 3 makes complete sense when you look at the numbers. 6.9 yards per carry, 18 rushing touchdowns, and he became the first running back taken in the top 3 since 2018. Arizona isn't afraid to be bold and Jacoby Brisset just got the most dangerous weapon in this entire class.

staying at 15 and getting Rueben Bain is exactly the kind of decision that defines a front office. Tampa was open to trading back but when the best pass rusher in the class is still sitting there at 15 you stop trying to be clever. they didn't just get a first rounder they got their guy.

The #Bucs, who were open to moving back, stick and pick instead and select #Miami edge Rueben Bain Jr. They hoped... but did not believe he'd fall to them.
