Why are people surprised by Kucherov? Anyone who’s followed him the past three years knows he can play at this level, maybe even higher. He’s on par with MacKinnon and McDavid, and could be better.
Lack of individual awards doesn’t change that he’s a future Hall of Famer. Among Russian players, I see him in the top five, possibly top three...

I've watched the 2nd Panthers goal about 20 times since the game ended. That may have been the most useless I've seen Nurse and Bouchard on a goal all year, ALL YEAR. They both try to hit him, then they both ignore him, watch the play, get/stay out of the way and he scores.
