Today is National DNA Day—and what a week it’s been! To celebrate, we brought science to life in 10 schools across Dothan, including all 9 Dothan City Schools and Houston Academy. Over 700 third graders became scientists for the day as they extracted DNA from strawberries!

Why do we celebrate National DNA Day? It marks two of the most groundbreaking milestones in the history of science: 🔬 1953 – The Discovery of the DNA Double Helix 🧬 2003 – Completion of the Human Genome Project

The HudsonAlpha Wiregrass team was honored to join Cynthia Crutchfield and the Innovate Alabama team in celebrating the momentum building across our state in entrepreneurship and innovation. It was a gathering of leaders who are shaping Alabama’s future!

We had an amazing time this week at Girls Inc, leading our signature strawberry DNA extractions! The energy was electric as these bright young minds jumped right into hands-on STEM exploration!

We had a fantastic day yesterday at Landmark Park celebrating RC&D’s Ag Day! The event provided an incredible opportunity to introduce students to the many exciting and diverse career paths within the agricultural industry!
