We continue to improve our opioid tracking technologies through work with leaders like Dr. Yoon, who is one of my personal heroes in public health and a deeply respected former director at the CDC.
As we've seen with our own analysis, and stated by this @voxdotcom article, the rate of overdose mortality has finally/thankfully declined in the last year or two in the US.
However, this is no time to declare victory or take our eyes off the ball. There are still lots of overdose blindspots with devastating human and economic impact to our communities.
At the very least, we need to accelerate data discovery and expert-trained AI to provide faster, richer and more predictive insights. And, do so whilst efficiently increasing trust and accountable exchange of this, to improve the effectiveness of public health in supporting overdose prevention.

Exciting launch day for our networked Verified Toxicology AI at @medialab.
Our release was part of a larger @MIT led NANDA (Networked Agents and Decentralized AI) initiative to provide an open protocol and infrastructure to support agentic AI.
The alternative to NANDA "Internet of AI Agents" is for a handful of big tech companies to control AI, possibly the most transformative technology of our generation. That is a dreadful prospect for humanity that we all need to proactively ward off--starting now.
Congratulations Dr. @raskarmit and team for holding a brilliant, standing room only event full of leaders in their space. And, the great work on NANDA, whose calling is now and more relevant than ever.
